Creating Super Puppies

In his studies involving Thoroughbred race horses, Cunningham (1991) determined that track performance is about 35 percent heritable. In other words, about 35 percent of all the variation that is observed in track performance is controlled by heritable factors and the remaining 65 percent by other influences, such as training and nutrition. Since Midge's puppies will be weaned on the ultimate diet (raw meat) they will receive a good start in the nutrition department.

The U.S. Military, in an effort to improve the performance of dogs used for military purposes, developed a program called "Bio Sensor" which later became known as the "Super Dog" Program. This program entails a series of five exercises done to each puppy, once a day, during days three through sixteenth of the puppy's life. These very simple exercises provide early neurological stimulation (none of which naturally occur during this time of the puppy's life) which are supposed to give the dog a superior advantage over those who do not receive such stimulation.

Five benefits have been observed in canines that were exposed to the Bio Sensor stimulation exercises:

While both Gel and Midge are above-average in their performance abilities, it makes sense to me to give the puppies every possible advantage so they may become super dogs in their own right. I will conduct early neurological stimulation on Midge's puppies.
