Oh goodness …

I was sort of hoping the company that the head hunter called me about would not want to see me.  I really wasn’t interested in going on the interview.  The head hunter called me yesterday afternoon and told me the company wanted to see me on Friday and she wanted me to come in to meet her on Thursday.  I told her that I had plans for the rest of the week and couldn’t come in.  She said that it might ruin my chances of getting an interview and I told her that was okay.

She called back about 30 minutes later telling me I had an interview Monday morning at 8 AM.  Then she told me the name of the company.  I know them well, very well in fact.  I worked very closely with that company while at the law firm I used to work at.  We closed a lot of deals.  It’s a good company, a really good company.  The paralegal that works at the law firm that represents the company is one of the few people in Charlotte that I’ve kept in regular touch with.

Funny how things come about.  My resume is not at the two major head hunters in Charlotte.  I refuse to deal with them.  The only reason why it is at the one that contacted me is because I sent my resume to them in response to another position.  If the position had been at any other company, I may have decided not to go on the interview.  I will go on this one and I will hope I get the job.

Oh, how things will change if I get the job.  I’ll be getting up at 4 AM in order to get all my chores done.  The dogs will have to go back to staying in their runs (which will mean we’ll have to put fencing over and under Gel’s and likely Fern’s runs).  It will be a rude awakening, but I suppose I need to look at things in a realistic manner.  I cannot survive forever on 1/3 of my salary.  Bills are not getting paid.  What I can do, however, is go back to work, but keep the things that I have going on here that feed us, going and not go back to relying on processed food.  I can do it.

We’ll see how it goes …
