Wally made me realize this morning that I sort of lost track of why I got these goats. He left telling me to take it easy, try not to be so stressed and to do something nice for me today. I received an e-mail from one of my former milk clients telling me that the last half gallon of milk she got from me was better than the last (she’s the one that started the roll of disparaging comments), but it still had an “off” taste to it. Shit! I drink that milk every day and it tastes perfectly fine to me. After I got the e-mail, I took a big swig from the half gallon in the refrigerator and it tasted like it always does. As I was drinking it, I thought to myself, I need to drink more of this milk. Goat milk has wonderful medicinal qualities. For example, goat milk has a good amount tryptophan, a very beneficial amino acid. Among other things, tryptophan functions as a biochemical precursor for Serotonin which in turn can be converted to melatonin which in layman’s terms means it might help me to sleep better. Goat’s milk is a very good source of riboflavin, a B vitamin important for energy production.
I need to make it a point to drink more of this milk that we all work so hard to get.
You just can’t please a lot of people and I need to learn to stop trying to do it.
