It was! I think what made it so nice was having two days off in a row. If you do not have a regular day job with weekends off, you don’t realize how nice it is to have two days off in a row, especially if you have someone to spend the two days with.
We didn’t do a whole lot; we have a whole lot to get done over the next few weeks getting the farm ready for winter and we really need to get our butts in gear and get it done. We spent a bit of time in the garden yesterday morning. I’m getting progressively more excited about planting for next year. We’ll have six-twelve x three and two-six x three beds. Under cover, I can start planting spring crops as early as January. It will be nice to harvest vegetables that early. Hopefully the weather will cooperate this year.
Once they got it going, the barrel race was interesting and inspiring. Unfortunately, it started later than was advertised and they dragged the arena after only three horses running. We didn’t get to see a whole lot of horses run, but those that we did were very nice. In my younger years, I did a lot of gaming and I liked it. Maybe one day I’ll be able to do it again.
