Time to dig in … in more ways than one.

I feel like I’ve been incredibly lazy lately.  Not so sure if that’s true or not.  What I do know is that I’m milking way too many animals.  I’ve tentatively put two of the goats up for sale.  Not sure if I’ll sell them or not.  If I do, that money will go towards fixing the fencing in the lower part of the pasture to keep the rest of them in … if that is at all possible.

Gardening is something that I’ve been very lazy about getting going.  I’m behind in getting tomato, eggplant and pepper seedlings going; I may be too late at this point and I may have to buy them this year, at least the first crop of them.  I might be okay to start a later crop of these plants to get in the ground.  I missed out on a second crop of carrots, peas and probably beets (which may be okay because I don’t know how much I really like beets).  I should get more lettuce and spinach in the ground, but …

This weekend was almost a total loss.  Wally and I went out Raleigh way to pick up a rescue horse as a companion for Sudi (more on that later).  On the way back, the truck had mechanical issues.  Luckily we got home and hopefully what is wrong with it won’t cost a lot to fix.  We spent Sunday doing essentially nothing which is what is particularly aggravating to me.  I should of, could of, would of done something, even though it was cold and rainy most of the weekend.  I feel like my batteries have been re-charged and I’m not dreading (too much anyway) going to work today.  Wally is off, which is a good thing given he’s going to have to deal with the truck.

Here I am procrastonating again.  I should be out milking, but it’s raining and cold and I don’t want to go out there.  I guess I have no choice.

Until later …
