A pot of cranberry beans, a pot of rendering lard and two dozen eggs on their way to being hard boiled. At the end of the week I make some use of what duck eggs we so not sell to make room for fresh eggs.
As soon as the eggs are through boiling I will be heating up the cast iron fry pan to cook breakfast: our sausage, sunny side up duck eggs and some potatoes and onions fried up in the fat from the sausage.
Later on today I will be finishing up a batch of potato salad and adding the beans to the crockpot with some barbecue ribs.
We eat darned good.
