A Wonderful Meal!

I am never going to make it as a food photographer and a farmer.  I put so much work into putting food on the table that when it comes time to eat it, I am too hungry to take the time to set up a photo shoot so I can share it with you all.  So, I have to depend on my descriptive writing ability to tell you just how wonderful our supper was last night.  Rabbit sausage patties (so – so – so good!) over a bed of organic white Cannellini beans with fresh sage and freshly picked Romano green beans stewed in a freshly picked, diced Cherokee Purple tomato, olive oil and fresh basil.  Except for the beans, olive oil and spices, all from our farm.  It was one of those meals that you keep running your tongue around in your mouth even after it is finished to keep re-tasting the wonderful mingling of flavors and textures.  From four rabbits, I put five and a half pounds of rabbit sausage in the freezer as well as three quarts of rabbit stock and from the bones, I pulled off a large zip lock bag of rabbit meat to give the dogs for their meal today.  Rabbit is wonderful people!  Eating local is even better!!

Until later …
