Processed 18 rabbits yesterday. That means I have almost 40 rabbits to cut up and package, 21 of them need to be done today. There are four more tractors left of rabbits large enough to process. I’d like to get them all done today, but that is unlikely. My hands will not put up with that much work and I injured my heel a while back and it hurts like heck to stand on it for any length of time.
I need to get going and go outside and milk. It’s cold out (around 26), but nothing like it’s going to be. Before the end of the day today, I need to get the rabbits’ nest boxes stuffed with hay in preparation for the 10 degrees that is coming tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow and Thursday, the high is only supposed to be in the low 30’s so except for when I have to be outside, I will be inside … cutting up and packaging rabbits. It will be good to get them all in the freezer and have WAY fewer rabbits to feed and care for.
School starts on Friday, but luckily I do not have to be in until noon.
Until later …
