A quick note from the bowels of …

Well, you probably know what bowels I am speaking of.  It’s been bloody, freaking hot for the past 13 days (high of 90 or above) and virtually no rain for the past 15 days.  It’s been horrible.  The pulsator in my milk machine went out last week and milking eight goats in 95+ degree weather is beyond horrible.  Luckily I was able to borrow a pulsator from a local farmer and now I have two pulsators, one to use and one as a back-up and the one that broke will either be repaired or replaced and then I will have two back-ups.  Overkill, I know, but when you are relying on something to work, it really sucks when it does not and it always seems as though it breaks at the most inopportune time.

The end to this stretch of horrible weather is in sight.  Only one more really hot day to get through after today and then it breaks and rain is forecast. I am so glad we put in the irrigation. If we did not, most of our vegetables would likely be dead.

The job search is driving me mad. No bites from anyone. I mistakenly thought the job market had improved. It has not. I am hopeful something is on the horizon. Fingers and toes crossed.

Until later …
