Rudolph the red-nosed-reindeer that is. I have a cold, again – at least I think it’s a cold, it may be allergies. I don’t know but this crazy weather isn’t helping. The temperature differences from day to day are crazy. I feel better today than I did yesterday but still not 100 percent.
I need to get going and get out of here, head to work for a while and then to Newton for Special Olympics bowling. Then I’ve got two stories to write – it should be three but I’m having trouble finding stories.
The ducks are laying again – not a lot, they probably will never lay like they once did. We’ve been here for almost three years and I had them at the other farm for several years so they are at least five years old. Ducks, like chickens, don’t lay forever. It’s hard to justify keeping animals that aren’t producing but what do you do with them? They are past eating stage – I don’t like duck anyway. I could feed them to the dogs but cleaning them is hard. Sometimes I wonder why I don’t just buy eggs but I love duck eggs. It’s not like they are that expensive to feed – it maybe costs $50/month to feed them.
Bah! I don’t know what I’m doing.
Off to get dressed for work and may I not go through an entire box of Kleenex today.
Until later …
