Bermuda Triangle

I think the Bermuda Triangle has moved and is now located in the fenced-in area up at the Christmas Tree Farm.  You may recall that Rose went missing from that location.  Luckily I found her.  Well, yesterday after I got home from my un-doctor (will explain later) appointment, I saw that Esmeralda was back in my fenced-in area.  Before the heavy rain started, I put Esmeralda and Sunshine up in the fenced-in area at the Christmas Tree Farm.  There’s a small building they could get into to stay warm.  Both Esmeralda and Sunshine are bullies so I figured I’d put them up there so that the other goats could get under the hoop shelter and stay draw.

As soon as the rain let up, I fired up the ATV and headed up to the Christmas Tree Farm to bring Sunshine back.  When I got there, she didn’t appear, which concerned me.  I sent Gel in to find her (thinking she might have been in the building).  Nope.  Shoot!  I drove around looking for her and couldn’t find her.  I went back and got the other goats and did a loop with them thinking their racket would draw out Sunshine.  Nope.

Hopefully she’ll re-appear today.

Regarding the un-doctor appointment.  My appointment was at 10:45.  I got there at 10:30 and signed in.  I brought a book to read and curled up in a corner to read.  The next time I looked at the clock it was 11:15.  Minor irritation … back to the book.  Looked up again and it was 11:30.  I went up to make sure my appointment was indeed at 10:45, not 11:45.  It was 10:45 and the receptionist assured me I’d be next.  I went back and finished my book.  By then it was 12:00.  I went back to the receptionist who was gone.  I sat back down and waited.  Finally at 11:15 I got called.  Had my blood pressure and temperature checked, then put in a waiting room.  When 12:45 rolled around and a doctor hadn’t appeared I had enough.  I went back out to the receptionist and asked for my co-payment back.

Ask me why I don’t go to conventional doctors.  The drug paraphernalia throughout the office was disgusting.  If you have this problem, well, take this drug; or that problem, take this drug.  Never mind the side effects, we have a drug to fix that too.

I called my landlady on another matter and mentioned my experience.  She referred me to her doctor and I have an appointment with him today at 10:15.  Hopefully I’ll get seen.  All I want is my prescriptions filled!

I saw a glimpse of what was with Cian yesterday.  When it came time to put the sheep up, I sent him for him and he seemed more in contact with the sheep than he has been over the past few days.

As I write this, I have a batch of cheese draining and a pot of milk on the stove heating to 80 degrees so I can get that started.  I needed to clean all the milk out of my freezer to make room for more venison which I’ll pick up today.  I have very little room in my freezer as it is.

Well, off to milk, then take a shower and get ready for the second doctor appointment.  I’m hoping in between appointments today (I have a hair appointment at 1:30 and then have to go to a meeting at Walmart at 4:00) to make some homemade banana bread.  I have about ten ripe bananas to use … hmmmm, it’s warm enough, I might just make a goat milk and fruit shake for breakfast.

  1. Your description of the un-doctor’s office cracked me up. Just today someone contributed a poem to my site entitled “Drug Lord.”

And you shouldn’t tempt me with the thought of homemade banana bread. I used to bake a lot, but grains aren’t part of my diet anymore :o(

  2. Lee,

Are you really a drug lord masquerading as as a health conscious nut? How can you live without grains???????

  3. See the Slow Awakenings piece in the Frontline section and you should see the reason. I avoid most simple carbohydrates ;o)
